Year-end renewal sprint

Six weeks.Every renewalbefore it locks.

Many vendor discounts expire on December 31 and new prices land in January and February. In six weeks we list what renews or changes in the next six months, lock in what is worth keeping and open the negotiations that cannot wait.

The calendar is the problem.

Year end stacks deadlines on top of each other. Promotions expire, usage-based billing switches on, price lists reset in January and commitments renew on terms nobody revisited. Each one is a small decision, made in a busy month, that sets the price for a year or more.

Microsoft alone has Copilot usage billing turning on by default from December 1, Microsoft 365 E3 and Copilot discounts ending December 31, Power Apps prices rising January 1 and Azure prices rising in seven regions on February 1. Details in our Microsoft guide.

A 2027 renewal calendar and the savings against quote, ready for the budget.

Common questions

Straight answers.

Is six weeks enough?

For the urgent renewals, yes. The sprint focuses on what locks before February. Everything else goes onto a calendar your team or the Renewal Desk can run through the year.

What if we are already past a notice date?

Tell us. Many vendors still negotiate after notice dates, especially when there is a credible alternative.

What happens after the sprint?

You keep the calendar. Many clients move the year-round work to the Renewal Desk.
